Do Not Lay Up Treasures On Earth

Jesus teaches us not to store up treasures on earth, but to invest in what lasts—treasures in heaven. This sermon explores how our hearts are often drawn to what doesn't satisfy, just like Israel in Jeremiah 2, who traded the fountain of living water for broken cisterns.

We still do this today—chasing after more stuff, more status, or even empty religious activity—when real life is found in relationship with God. The contrast is clear: cisterns and streams. One runs dry. One never stops flowing. Jesus opens our eyes to see the difference so we can choose what truly satisfies.
