PRACTICE: Fasting—Hidden Manna

In today's service, Cody will be teaching on Jesus's words at the end of the famous account of the testimony of the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4. As the woman goes back into the village to testify to what she has seen, the disciples offer Jesus food. He responds, "I have food to eat that you do not know about." This odd statement gets at a deep truth— that there is a deeper level of sustenance than just the physical, and that has everything to do with the heart behind fasting.
