Core Beliefs
God
God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In the beginning, God created the world from nothing, and by His sovereign power He continues to sustain and redeem His creation.
Jesus
Jesus is the gospel. He put the gospel on display both through His actions and His commands. He is "the way, the truth, and the life." He is the ultimate reconciler. Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a perfect life and offered Himself as a sacrifice for the sins of all mankind by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days in the tomb and demonstrated His power over sin and death.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God living in us. The Holy Spirit lives in every believer from the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit is a teacher, counselor, and reminder. The Holy Spirit teaches us about the ways of God, provides us with purposeful direction through counsel, and reminds us of God's teachings. At White Stone, we believe the Holy Spirit is still at work in and through God's people today.
The Bible
The Bible is God-breathed. It was written by human authors, under supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Bible serves as a lens to view God and to learn the ways of God in the world.
Mankind
Like Adam and Eve, we are made of the dust of the earth and the very breath of God. The dust reminds us that we are sinners by nature, but the breath reminds us of our potential for good. The Bible says, "we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God," and it also says we are made in "the image of God."
We live in the midst of this paradox.

Salvation
Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus and walking in His ways can man be saved from sin's penalty. Trusting in Jesus saves a person not only from eternal damnation, but also from a meaningless earthly life.
The Church
The Church is not a building. The Church is the bride of Christ and is to be a force for God in the world. There is one true Church universal, comprised of all those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The Scripture commands believers to gather together, to devote themselves to worship, prayer, the teachings of the Word, missions, and the observance of baptism and communion. The Church is to join Jesus in His effort to seek and save that which is lost, and to redeem the things around us that are broken.
