Shine: the Book of Philippians - September 4, 2022

In the first chapter of Philippians, after Paul has begun the letter with a greeting, he then transitions into a prayer over the church of Philippi starting in verse 9. Paul prays that the church's love for one another and for Christ to "abound more and more," but he also prays that their love would be linked to their knowledge, wisdom, and insight.
In our culture, we love to talk about loving others, but the Bible calls us to a deeper love. One that is not rooted in feelings, but is rooted in truth, wisdom, and Jesus himself.
